No. Do not sign beforehand unless you were specifically instructed otherwise. The document must usually be signed in the notary's presence. Signing early may mean re-signing.

$10 per notarial act for typical in-office notarization (Texas statutory fee). Remote Online Notarization (RON) is $25 for the first notarization in a session, plus $10 for each additional notarization in the same session. See also our pricing page.

Examples we cannot notarize include: incomplete documents with blanks that should be filled first; vital records themselves (e.g., birth/death certificates you need a certified copy from the agency); documents without acceptable ID; if the signer is unwilling or does not understand the act; or anything that would require legal advice—which notaries cannot provide.

You should bring required witnesses when possible. We may be able to assist with witnesses for an additional fee (for example $10 per witness), subject to availability—mention this when you book.

Yes, if the signer and notary can communicate directly. The document may be in another language, but the notary must confirm the signer understands the notarial act requested. We do not provide translation services.

Yes, mobile notary may be available. The signer must be alert, have acceptable ID, and communicate clearly. Travel and time fees apply and are quoted before we schedule.

No. Notaries cannot choose the notarial certificate for you (acknowledgment, jurat, etc.). If you are unsure, ask the document preparer or an attorney.

Yes. You complete identity verification and meet the notary in a secure audio/video session. RON is available for eligible documents for signers in Texas, as allowed by law.

You need: valid government-issued ID; your document in PDF format; a device with a working camera and microphone; a stable internet connection; and the ability to complete identity steps required for the session.

Many sessions take about 10–20 minutes after verification, depending on the number of signatures and documents.

Yes. Remote Online Notarization is authorized in Texas when performed according to state rules (including identity verification, audio/video, and journal requirements).

Typically: photo ID; Social Security numbers for you and dependents; all W-2s and 1099s; prior-year return if available; records for deductions, credits, or business expenses; and health coverage information when applicable.

An apostille is a certificate from the Texas Secretary of State that authenticates a document for use in another country under the Hague Convention.
